Full Description:
A Diago Pedal Board is the most convenient way to organise, protect and transport your effects pedals.
It combines a lightweight and roadworthy pedal board and hard case, making it ideal for transporting your gear between home, gigs and practices. It makes set-up and take-down quick and easy, and is great for storing your pedals at home, so that they can be neatly hidden away from your wife/mum/significant other.
Undo the catches, remove the lid, plug in your guitar, amp and power supply and you're ready to rock and roll. Easy!
How does it all go together? Not that it's complex, but it does warrant an explanation. One half of the case is the low-profile pedalboard itself; the other half is a removable quick-release, protective lid.
Pedals (and power supplies etc.) are fixed to the Velcro 'loop' covered pedalboard using industrial grade sticky backed Velcro 'hook' strips, so they can be positioned - and repositioned - easily anywhere on the board, in any orientation. The Velcro is tough too - thieving buggers won't be able to steal your pedals without you noticing - turn the board upside down and shake it; the pedals don't budge an inch. A decent roll of 25mm wide, industrial grade, sticky backed Velcro hook strip is included with every pedalboard.
The lid is lined with foam to gently hold the top of any taller pedals and attaches/detaches using quick release hinges at the back of the board. As the lid is closed the hinges hook around each other, locking the lid and board together.
The boards are constructed from 1/2" eastern plywood which is rigid, light and durable with a strong, through-bolted amp style carrying handle.
Why buy a pedal board? 1. Protection. Diago hardcase type design protects your gear, but doesn't cost or weigh a ton like a fully flightcased board and case would. Soft cases? So a soft case is going to protect your pedals? Yeah, right, who are you trying to kid? It's the same reason you use a hard case instead of gig bag for your guitar........didn't you?!
2. Quality. Diago pedal boards are made from 1/2" eastern plywood, covered in a really attractive and durable black polyweave cloth. Good quality hardware is used throughout, with extra touches such as steel corner strengtheners in the lid and a through-bolted, amp style handle. The guys who put these together have over 20 years experience of building flightcases too.
3. Design. It does what you need it to; nothing more, nothing less. Why do you need an effects loop on the board? OK, let's plug the output of my last pedal in to a box with a jack on it, so that I can plug my amp in to that....what's that all about? More features does not mean better....
4. Flexibility. Put whatever you like, wherever you like. All Diago pedalboards are ideal for holding compact stomp effects, multi-effects, power supplies, wahs, volume pedals, channel switches, A/B boxes.........in fact any combination of these, just so long as it all fits.
